Driven by Innovation
Our very own Innovation School, opened in 2019, offers a pioneering approach to education by focusing on real-world challenges and collaborative problem-solving, rather than exams and results. All pupils – Junior 1 to Senior 6 – have weekly innovation classes in Scotland’s first Innovation School at KA. Challenging the boundaries of traditional education, our Innovation School studios emphasise creativity, independent thinking, collaboration and building a portfolio of work.
Pupil Wellbeing At Our Core
We are dedicated to knowing your child and helping them to know themselves as they grow. Wellbeing is about understanding how our bodies and minds work and then learning to look after ourselves through the natural ups and downs of life. Our dedicated Wellbeing Base offers a calm, supportive space for pupils, and our passionate staff, including a full-time nurse and experienced counsellor, ensure they are guided thoughtfully through these critical years of their lives.
Outdoor Education Philosophy
The outdoors provide one of the richest and most influential learning environments, within which lifelong friendships and unforgettable moments are born. Learning goes far beyond the walls of our classrooms at KA. The School focuses on developing independent, resilient and creative young people through a variety of innovative initiatives. Whether staying at the Lodge on our Wilderness Campus in the Highlands or stepping aboard the school yacht, ‘Level Best’, pupils are given regular opportunities to step away from the typical school environment, explore the outdoors and reconnect with nature.
